Within 10 days, a dedicated dentist will carefully review your case and deliver a detailed second opinion report tailored to your needs.

Review the expert’s feedback and, if you’re satisfied, schedule an appointment with your matched dentist to start receiving top-notch care.

DENTAL X-RAYS

Essential for a comprehensive review of your oral health. These provide crucial details about your teeth. 

SMILE PHOTOS

Quick and easy to take with your smartphone. These give us visual context to complement your dental records.

CURRENT TREATMENT PLAN

Optional, but helpful. If you have one, it allows us to understand and evaluate your existing recommendations.

FAQ's

You have a couple of options to obtain your X-rays:

  1. Online Form Request: Use our online form to request your dental records from your provider. This is quick and can be done entirely online.
  2. Direct Request to Your Provider: You can ask your dentist to email the X-rays directly to you. Once you have them, simply upload them to our platform.

    Order your X-rays as soon as possible to avoid slowing down your dental report, making sure the process stays quick and efficient. You can even request them before starting the second report.

Our experts dedicate focused time to each case to provide the most thorough and accurate second opinion. To maintain efficiency and allow them to concentrate fully on the information provided, we are unable to add records once a review is in progress. If you have substantial new information, we recommend submitting a new request. We will do our best to assign your new case to the same expert.

Your second opinion report can be seen in your account within 7 business days (or 2 business days with a rush). However, depending on the time taken to collect dental records from your dentist, it may extend longer. 

Our second opinion reports are designed to be comprehensive and address the key questions you’ve provided. The expert dedicates significant time to reviewing your case and providing detailed insights in the report itself. Direct follow-up questions with the expert are not included in the standard second opinion service.  If you feel you need further clarification, please contact us to discuss available options.

Absolutely! If you’re happy with the second opinion from the dentist, you can seamlessly move forward with treatment under their care.
At MatchMyDentist, we take your privacy seriously. When sharing estimates and X-rays with dentists, we remove all your personal information, including your name and contact details. This means that your dentist will not be able to identify you from the documents or X-rays shared, ensuring your privacy is fully protected.
